The III Concert Star Classical Music Competition 2027

It will be held at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall on Monday, Jan 25th, 2027, at 7:30 PM.

Application Guideline

Important date

Prescreening Deadline: Sep 1st, 2026, 11:59 PM EST
Prescreening for online and in-person Application Fee: $120
Early Bird Fee (online only), before July 31st, 2026, 11:59 PM EST: $80 
All finalists will be notified by October 15, 2026

Accepted categories

All instruments and music forms are accepted
solo, chamber music, ensemble, vocal, choral, classical, crossover, and more

Two Ways to Apply

  1. In Person in Los Angeles, CA, San Francisco, CA, Beijing, CHN, Shanghai, CHN on August
  2. San Diego, CA, Seattle, WA on September
  3. Online video submission

Age Divisions:

Division I: 6 – 11 years old
Division II: 12 – 18 years old
Division III: 19 – 26 years old
Division IV: 27+ years old

Repertoire Requirements:

Video Length: 3 or 5 or 10 minutes

The video must clearly show the performer’s face and hands, with no edits.
Piano music must be memorized except for contemporary works
No prepared piano pieces will be allowed

Performance Rate:

Three-minute performance: $420
Five-minute performance: $600

Ten-minute performance: $1000

Awards and Benefits

All finalists invited to perform at Carnegie Hall will receive: 

  1. Customized certificate and trophy
  2. Professional Performance photos and video clips
  3. Top-tier media exposure and press nomination opportunities
  4. Two concert tickets for family or friends

    Division Awards

    Except receiving the prize above

    First Prize: $300 cash award, one recommendation letter from a jury professor, one recommendation letter from the organizer, and 20% off Concert Star events in 2026-2027.
    Second Prize: $100 cash award, one recommendation letter from the organizer, and 10% off Concert Star events in 2026-2027.
    Third Prize: one recommendation letter from the organizer and 5% off Concert Star events in 2026-2027.

    Grand Prize

    One Grand Prize winner will be selected from all divisions. The Grand Prize winner will receive support for the digital release of a personal music album of up to 20 minutes.
    The release will be distributed to major global digital music platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, QQ Music, and NetEase Cloud Music.

    Recording production is not included. Album distribution support is included, with optional upgrades available for professional studio recording and guidance.
