Important Date

Prescreening deadline: May 31st 2024

Final round & Interview: June 28th -30th

Award ceremony: Sunday, Oct 6th, at 7:30 PM, 2024 (Weill Recital Hall in Carnegie Hall, New York City, NY)

Prescreening recording requirement
  • The program must contain compositions from at least two different periods of music (baroque, classical, romantic, impressionistic, contemporary). Transcriptions and arrangements are allowed.
  • Memorization is required for all repertoires.
  • Concerto performances are not permitted.
  • Compositions using extended (inside-the-piano) techniques (i.e., introducing foreign objects into the workings of the piano to change the sound quality, strumming or plucking of strings) are not permitted at the request of competition hosts and piano companies providing instruments.
Final round & Interview (32-36 Finalists)

Live audio and video monitoring (Live recording/broadcast)

Performance Time: Maximum 10 minutes

Interview: around 10 minutes

Group 1 (Age 7-11 years old on May 31st 2024)

Performance Time:

  • Maximum performance time: Five (5) minutes

Group 2 (Age 12-15 years old on May 31st 2024)​

Performance Time:

  • Maximum performance time: Eight (8) minutes

Group 3 (Age 16-19 years old on May 31st 2024)

Performance Time:

  • Maximum performance time: Ten (10) minutes

Group 4 (Age 20-25 years old on May 31st 2024)​

Performance Time:

  • Maximum performance time: Twelve (12) minutes

Group 5 (Age 26-30 years old on May 31st 2024)​

Performance Time:

  • Maximum performance time: Fifteen (15) minutes

Group 6(Age 30+)​

Performance Time:

  • Maximum performance time: Fifteen (15) minutes​

Application fee:
Prescreening & First round: $120 per application
Final round and interview: $288 per application

All applicants will receive performance analyze and practice advice

All winners will receive medals and certificates

Prescreening &First round:

One grand award: $800 cash award, invitation to final round and interview

1st Prize: $300 Royal BIMA music festival scholarship, invitation to final round and interview.

2nd Prize: $200 Royal  BIMA music festival scholarship, invitation to final round and interview.

3rd Prize: $100 Royal BIMA music festival scholarship, invitation to final round and interview.

Final round & Interview:

All finalists will received comments and practice advice by famous pianists and one free ticket to attend award ceremony in Carnegie Hall

12 selected winners will be invited to perform in Carnegie Hall on Sunday, Oct 6th at 7:30 PM, 2024

All selected winners must attend two-hour rehearsal session prior the concert

All winners' performance videos will be promoted by major social media (i.e. Facebook home page, Instagram official account, Youtube channel. etc.)
